The initiatives of the "Global Compact on Education" restart: on 15 October 2020 a virtual meeting opens by the message of Pope Francis.
In May 2020 the Global Compact on Education, the Pact promoted by Pope Francis to generate, through education, a global change of mentality, should have taken place.
The pandemic, which forced us to cancel the event, made the appeal of the Holy Father even more stringent: we need to unite the efforts for the common home so that education can be a creator of brotherhood, peace and justice.
For this reason, on 15 October 2020 at 2.30 pm (GMT + 2), there will be a virtual meeting opened to all and broadcasted live on the Youtube channel of Vatican Media, during which a video message from Pope Francis will be broadcast, with international testimonies and experiences, to look beyond with creativity.
The event is organized by the Congregation for Catholic Education, which oversees 216 thousand Catholic schools attended by over 60 million pupils, and 1,750 Catholic universities with over 11 million students.
